About College

• Aarupadai Veedu Medical College and Hospital (AVMC&H) was established by Thirumuruga Kirupananada Variyar Thavathiru Sundara Swamigal Medical and Charitable Trust in the year 2000.
• Initially, it was affiliated with Pondicherry University, and later on, in 2004, it came under the ambit of Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation, which was deemed to be a university. Prof. Rakesh Sehgal is the Dean of AVMC&H.
• It is located on Pondicherry-Cuddalore Road, Kirumampakkam Bahour Commune Panchayat, Puducherry. The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD courses in the field of medicine.

Infrastructure and Facilities

• Campus: A self-contained, serene campus spread over 44 acres of lush green lands. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled.
• Lab: AVMC&H houses a clinical skills lab, which is being upgraded to a full-fledged simulation center. The college also has a Central Biomedical Research Laboratory.
