• AIIMS, Bhubaneswar is a top-notch medical institute situated in the capital city of Odisha, India. It was founded in 2012 under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) to deliver high-quality healthcare to the people of Odisha and the surrounding regions.
• The institute offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses such as MBBS, MD, MS, MCh, DM, and PhD in various disciplines. The idea of establishing six new AIIMS institutions across India was announced by the Government of India in 2003, and AIIMS, Bhubaneswar was one of them.
• Currently, the dean of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar is Dr. Prasanta Raghab Mohapatra. The institute is located around  12 kilometers away from the Bhubaneswar railway station and 11 kilometers away from the Biju Patnaik International Airport.

• MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology.
• The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.
