China Medical University

• With a history of over 80 years, China Medical University is also one of the earliest medical institutions to deliver education in Western medicine. The predecessor of CMU was the Military Medical School of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army founded in Ruijin, Jiangxi Province in November 1931.
• CMU has grown steadily since its inception and is renowned for qualified faculty members from all over the world. At present, the university is considered one of the top medical universities in Taiwan and the Greater China region.
• Founded by the Communist Party of China, the university’s mission is to become a global leader in both Western and Chinese medicine, to be able to offer exceptional medical services, and to contribute to the world’s knowledge in health-related sciences.

Infrastructure and Facilities

• The CMU campus is located in the northern part of Taichung which is quite close to the city center. Apart from the main campus, a second campus was established in Peikang (Yunlin County) in 1958. The main Taichung campus has several remarkable buildings including the Lifu Teaching Building, the Huchu Building, the Medical Technology Building,  the Medical Building, and four hospital buildings. 
• China Medical University campus offers the best facilities with a range of amenities including a big, hygienic canteen, grocery store, mobile stores, banks, ATM, and much more. The campus is also equipped with world-class infrastructure and a top-class library. 
• CMU has great hostel accommodation facilities for the students. There are two different hostel accommodations including
  • On-campus hostel in Puhe Road- Single rooms with all amenities like air conditioner, heater, internet access, etc. There are separate buildings for girls and boys.
  • Off-campus accommodation in Heping campus- All clinical classes of CMU are done on the Heping campus. There are no hostel facilities in Heping so international students from the 4th year stay in apartments near Heping.
• Laboratories at CMU are all equipped with the latest technology instruments. Furthermore, the university ensures to hire highly qualified faculties in all aspects to help students with their lab work.
• Food is easily available at CMU at a relatively low cost. Canteens of the university provide a range of different cuisine including Western food, Japanese food, and other delicious food with all local characteristics of China for international students 
• Shenyang City has one huge airport, multiple train stations, and several buses to connect the university campus to many cities in China. Apart from this, there are also convenient public facilities for telecom and internet to help students enjoy a convenient life.
• The Liaoning government offers scholarships at CMU to promote the development of higher education for International students and also to attract them to CMU.
