• The College of Medicine and JNM Hospital, Kalyani, Nadia, was founded under the administrative control and ownership of The West Bengal University Of Health Sciences (WBUHS) in 2009. Both the college as well as the hospital are situated in the same campus. The land comprising both the college and the hospital spreads to almost 76.3 acres.
• Also, the hospital consists of 450 teaching beds while also managing additional admissions in all the departments when there is a huge rush of patients. This hospital has been named after Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
• The College of Medicine and JNM Hospital, Kalyani, Nadia is located at a distance of around 100 mts from the Kalyani Shlipanchal Railway Station and close to 1.5 Km from the Kalyani Railway Station. This institution is a fundamental constituent of the College of WBUHS and was first registered with the Medical Council of India in 2010.
• The 1st batch of one hundred students were given admission in August 2010. However, it must be noted that in the year 2013, Gandhi Memorial Hospital was also added as the second campus of this institute.
• Every year, close to 100 students are admitted to this college for an MBBS degree or a master's Degree in MBBS. A nursing College is also located here.
