About College

  • In place of the Medical Council of India, DMMC was created in February 2020 with a sanctioned admission of 150 MBBS students. Its campus is located in Wanadongri and spans 20 acres of land. It is adjacent to the prestigious and renowned Yashwantrao Chavan College of Engineering. It provides assistance with subspecialty services in fields including urology, cardiology, endoscopy, minimal access surgery, dialysis, joint replacement, arthroscopy, and wound care clinic, providing patients with affordable, high-quality medical care. It contains well-equipped modular surgical suites and intensive care units. The decision of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed to be University), which has received an "A" grade from the MHRD and NAAC accreditation, to establish a second medical college in Nagpur brings us great joy. High standards in medical education and healthcare are well-known at DMIMS.
  • In honor of Shri Dattaji Meghe, a philanthropist and social worker who made substantial improvements to Maharashtra's educational system, this new medical institution has been suitably named. Campus

In a specially constructed structure, the college has developed anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry departments. 200 students can be accommodated in the well-furnished laboratory, museum, or lecture halls.  

Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire building, along with audiovisual equipment. Additionally, it contains a molecular laboratory with NABL accreditation for detecting HIV and HCV RNA. 

The faculty at DMMC is extremely skilled and experienced, with years of experience in the classroom and numerous publications. The campus is equipped with contemporary amenities like a swimming pool, gym, along with a playground. 

Hospitals

An affiliated hospital with this medical college has 450 beds and is called Smt. Shalinitai Meghe Hospital & Research Centre.

The hospital is completely equipped with all everyday conveniences to provide medical care. It has everything needed for an ICU, ICCU, NICU, PICU, and world-class operating rooms.


Library

The central library has modern computer equipment and internet connectivity for online material. The departments of anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry also have distinct departmental libraries next to the Central Library.
