About College

  • The Dr. B R Ambedkar Medical College (BRAMC), located in Bangalore, was founded by the Ananda Social and Educational Trust in July 1980.
  • In 1987, the College began operations at its permanent location in Kadugondanahalli. Twenty-five acres of land make up the campus. The BRAMC provides undergraduate, graduate, and diploma-level courses.
  • The Medical Council of India (MCI) has granted recognition to the College. BRAMC is now connected with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, formerly associated with Bangalore University.
  • The institute provides 21 full-time degree and diploma programs. In all, the institute has 2 UG programs. The school is well-known for offering programs including the MD, MS, B.Sc., MBBS, and PG Diploma in medicine and health sciences.

Infrastructure And Facilities:

  • Campus: With a capacity of 100 seats for Undergraduate (MBBS) Courses and Post Graduate Courses in 18 Disciplines, the Trust established the medical college and hospital named after Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in the Kadugondanahalli area (near R.T. Nagar) in the northern part of Bengaluru city in 1981. 
  • Lab: There are museums housed inside the department, in addition to excellent laboratory facilities.
  • Library: All areas of medicine are included in the Central Library's 16500 text and reference volumes. In addition, it's split into two halves, and the B block is always open. The library now has access to more digital resources, including computers.
  • Moreover, beyond books, they provide the most up-to-date references that postgraduates, graduates, and researchers may use in their own study and publishing projects. Book storage, photocopying, scanning for digitalization, and laser printing are all part of the service menu. For educational purposes and to stay current with medical knowledge, subscriptions are maintained to both international and Indian medical publications. Each division also has its own library for use by its employees and graduate students, in addition to the main library.

The women's student hostel is appropriately walled and protected for the residents' safety.
