  • Dr. Francisco Quimson Duque and Mrs Florencia Tiongson Duque founded Lyceum-Northwestern University in 1969. It was first initiated as a single-room nursing school at the Dagupan City Polyclinic Hospital. Later in 1974, it started acquiring northern educational institutions.
  • As a result of the acquisition, the first medical school came into existence in the Northern Philippines. Thus LN started its journey as the first medical school in the north. The institution aims at providing an excellent learning environment. The easy transportation method of the institute drags more international students. The curriculum of medicine is designed to prepare students to develop scientific attitudes and habits. It also teaches the students to use scientific methods.
