In accordance with the Health Policy 2016 and using the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, the Government of Gujarat and Rudraksh Academy Private Limited, Vadodara (RAPL) established the Self-Financed Dr. Kiran C. Patel Medical College and Research Institute-Bharuch (KMCRI), Bharuch. The Institute is established in the year 2020. Dr. Kiran C. Patel is the chairperson of the medical college, and Shree Jagdishbhai D. Patel is the founder and CEO. Dr. Jeram Param is currently the dean at the Dr. Kiran C. Patel Medical College and Research Institute.
The Institute increased the seat capacity of the UG Course (MBBS) to 200 seats in 2022, as compared to 150 seats in 2021 and 2020. The university has qualified teaching staff for various departments such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, pathology, microbiology, forensic medicine, general medicine, and others. The university has about 100 teaching staff, 150 nursing staff, 100 paramedical staff, and 30 non-teaching staff. Students graduating from this institute will have both technical expertise and the demureness to serve society as doctors.
