About College

  • Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) was founded in 1814 by Emperor Alexander I as the second university institution in Kazan and the third medical university institution in Russia. Today, it is a federal university with nine faculties and 60 departments, offering programs in general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and other specialties. The university has a staff of more than 1,500 people, including 700 academic staff. The current chancellor of KSMU is Aleksey Sozinov, who is also the dean of the faculty of general medicine.
  • KSMU provides world-class medical education with modern facilities, equipment, libraries, hostels, and recreational areas. Students gain clinical experience through supervised practice in university hospitals and polyclinics.
