• Born on 3rd January 1956 in Azamgarh, Dr. Kailash Narayan Singh was the visionary behind Mayo Hospital and Mayo Institute of Medical Sciences. He possessed a progressive intellect and an unwavering dedication to serving the sick, poor, and needy. His remarkable contributions to society earned him a commendation. Today, the college is led by Dr. N.K. Mohindroo, is an experienced educator with 31 years of teaching expertise.
• Mayo Institute of Medical Sciences is a NABH-accredited hospital with 1192 beds. This well-equipped, multispecialty facility caters to the healthcare needs of the Barabanki and Lucknow regions, offering modern amenities. 
• Dr. RML Avadh University affiliated MIMS also plays a pivotal role in educating M.B.B.S. and M.D./M.S. students, contributing to the growth of medical knowledge.

The Radiodiagnosis department facilitates services such as CT Scan, MRI, 2D Echo, Mammography, USG, and Digital X-Ray (Fluoroscopy and Image Intensifier).
