• The Nalanda Medical College was established in the year 1970 with the sole aim of producing bright doctors who would serve humanity. The college was established by Dr. Vijay Narayain Singh, Dr. Madhusudan Das, Dr. Shailendra Kumar Sinha, and Shri Krishna Kant Singh, the ex-education minister of Bihar.
• Nalanda Medical College is a well-known public medical college in Bihar. Since its beginning, the intake capacity of students has been increased from 100 to 120. Spread across 100 acres of land, the college has established itself as a multi-specialty hospital. With 29 different departments, including Anaesthesia, Pediatrics, Dental, Gynaecology, microbiology, and pharmacology, the college offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different medical disciplines. 
• The college is located in Kankarbagh, Patna, Bihar. Dr. Renu Rohatgi is the current serving principal of the college. The college hosts several events that encourage junior-senior interactions. Along with charging nominal fees, the college supports its students from humble backgrounds with timely financial aid. The college plans to increase its intake capacity from the current 120 seats to 180 seats to encourage more students to enter medicine and take up medicine as a profession, ultimately fulfilling the goal of establishing a college that serves humanity.
