About College

• Spread across 84 acres, Nootan Medical College was established in 2019 with the objective of expanding the healthcare services offered to the population of North Gujarat. The college is operated by the Nootan Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal (NSVKM), which was founded in 1952 by Sankalchand Patel, a freedom fighter and a social entrepreneur.
• The purpose of the trust was to foster socio-cultural and educational progress in Gujarat, and thus, it administrates educational institutions from primary schools to graduate and postgraduate colleges. The dean of Nootan Medical College is Dr. Himanshu Joshi (MD). The college is one of the best equipped with the latest technology, infrastructure capabilities, and qualified faculty.

Infrastructure & Facilities

The large campus area of 84 acres includes not only top-notch infrastructure but also greenery and open outdoor areas. 

Hostels (Boys & Girls):

Twin-sharing AC and non-AC hostel rooms with attached washrooms are available for Boys and Girls separately. The hostel is 200 m away from the College and Hospital. The rooms are furnished with a bed, mattress, table, chair, cupboard, dustbin, and other basic requirements.
Mess

The meals served at the mess include breakfast with tea (morning), lunch (noon), tea with snacks (evening), and dinner (late evening).
Computer Lab:

The computer lab has a number of computers and high-speed WiFi for the students' use
Library:

A large library with the latest books and references for all subjects related to the field is situated at the heart of the campus.
Research Lab:

A  Molecular Laboratory accredited by NABL, which also served as North Gujarat's first COVID Testing lab, is equipped with all the clinical equipment for students and faculty to conduct research studies.
Sports ground:

Nootan Medical College has a professional-sized outdoor sports field where sporting events, as well as cultural events, take place. Notably, the ‘North Gujarat Fiesta 2020‘ took place here, in which 750 students and faculty from 9 medical and dental colleges participated in 43 events/competitions for 3 days without registration fees.

Nootan Medical College & Research Center is located in Vasnagar. It is situated 3km (approximately 7 min) from the heart of the city. The Visnagar Railway Station is at a distance of 3k via the Visnagar Saduthala Kamana Udalpur Road. The GujSail Mehsana Airport is the nearest one to campus and is located 22 km away.
