About College

  • Patna Medical College was originally started as a temple medical school in 1874, with a fee of Rs 2/per student. In 1925, the temple school was shifted to Darbhanga, and in its place, Prince of Wales Medical College was established, later known as Patna Medical College.
  • The college is affiliated with Bihar University of Health Sciences. The college is located on Ashok Rajpath, Patna, the state capital of Bihar. The college houses more than 1700 beds for its patients, which is at par with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
  • Dr. Vidya Pati Choudhary is the current serving Principal of the Patna Medical College. The college conducts vertical and horizontal integrated teaching sessions and weekly seminars to understand students better. Interactive sessions with the experts and alumni of the college are often conducted to encourage students and serve humanity.
  • With renowned faculties and great facilities, the college has become one of the most renowned colleges in both Bihar and India.
