• Shahabuddin Medical College, the renowned medical school in Bangladesh was established in 2003 in the Gulshan area of Dhaka city. It offers medical services for eliminating the suffering of society. The institution believes in its vision to nurture budding doctors who are competent enough to alleviate the sufferings of humanity. 
• This medical college was founded by Alhaj. Mohammed Shahabuddin, a philanthropist and entrepreneur. He has offered free medical treatments by organizing medical camps through Shahabuddin Medical College that has helped over 2.5 lac poor people get relief from ailing medical conditions. Apart from this medical institution, he is also the founder of the Nandiapara Degree College in Noakhali.
• The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has awarded CIP status 7 times to Mr. Mohammed Shahabuddin to appreciate his achievements and service to humanity. Dr. Shahryar Nabi (Faculty of Medicine) is the Dean of the college.
• This institution has a neatly organized campus including a 12-storeyed hospital and college building featuring stunning attributes of advanced architecture. The college building houses the departments of Community Medicine, Anatomy, Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Physiology, Pathology, Biochemistry, and Forensic Medicine.
