About College

• First Military Medical University, now known as Southern Medical University (SMU), China, was established in October 1951 and formally recognized as one of the top medical schools in 1978. SMU is currently one of the eight esteemed institutions approved by the Ministry of Education, China, to administer the 6-year medical education program.
• The university has two campuses, the main campus, and the Shunde campus, covering an area of 1.68 million square meters, with an additional 0.845 million square meters under construction. The center was a part of the Guangdong Provincial 211 Project in 2008, emphasizing important colleges and universities. 

• Southern Medical University focuses on producing doctors and medical scientists with extensive knowledge, clinical skills, solid research ability, ethical standards, and social responsibility. It offers various UG and PG programs, including the MBBS program, Master's program, and Ph.D. program.
