About College
- DHGMC is a comprehensive Government Medical college. Its origins date back to December 1974 when it commenced as Diamond Harbour Sub-divisional Hospital.
- Gradually evolving, it transformed into Diamond Harbour District Hospital in April 2012, accommodating 300 beds, and was subsequently rebranded as Diamond Harbour Government Medical College.
- The college is closely associated with Diamond Harbour District Hospital and Super Speciality hospital. Professor Dr. Utpal Dan is the principal of Diamond Harbour Government Medical College & Hospital. It is located at Harindanga, Newtown, Diamond Harbour, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal.
