• SVIMS - Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women is a government medical college in Tirupati exclusively for female students. Founded in 2014, it is affiliated with Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) University, a deemed university recognized by the UGC and NMC. The college sits on a 50-acre campus on Alipiri Road near Tirupati Regional Science Centre. It provides the MBBS program with an annual intake of 150 students.  

• Dr. B. Vengamma, a renowned neurologist with several awards, founded SVIMS and also serves as the dean of Sri Padmavathi Medical College. The college aims to provide quality medical education to female students. It utilizes the facilities at the attached Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences hospital for clinical training of students.
